The day before our life changed...

The day before the big day we were both nervous but yet hiding it quite well. Deeco of course was trying to make things as easy as possible. Since we were living on South Beach it was quite a drive to St. Lucie Medical. Surgery was early in the am. We decided we would stay at my parents house the night before.

Before leaving for my parents house, Deeco brought Bella and I for some salt water therapy followed by the pool. We had a lot on our shoulders at the time, and it was nice to spend one last day relaxing. We laughed, played and made several comments about "One more day and we can put this all behind us". Little did we know, We weren't putting anything behind us for a long time, We were only beginning this journey.

Bella always brings light to the situations. She can make us smile when every thing's wrong. She can make you temporarily forget about your troubles, and remind you why there is still so many other blessings during these times.

See ?! How couldn't you smile & laugh with this little nugget around?

After our fun in the sun, It was time to pack Bella up to spend the night and weekend with her Grandma. At the time we were having problems with some "family" but still sent Bella so she could spend time with them. Are you asking yourself how anyone could have problems at times like this? I ask myself the same thing. I've learned that people will hurt you more when you are down. I've never seen anything like it, and honestly if I showed things that were said to us and went on while I was in the hospital, I'd probably blow your mind. I'll get into more of that as I blog onto the next chapter. Deeco was alone. He was trying to be strong for me and his unborn child, But no one to cry on their shoulder. My heart goes out to Deeco, & hurts for him. I don't know why people intentionally try to hurt him, but I do know its made him ONE HELL OF A MAN :)  You know what family is not always blood, and my parents, sister, and brother have been an amazing support system for us along with other members of the family!

Bella was on her way to a 4th of July party, And of course you know she had to get festive! We were happy to know she would be in a comfort zone and also busy with fun activities!

Off Bella was, and off to my parents we were. My parents cooked a home cooked meal. If anyone knows my parent's they are known for their cooking! Dinner is always amazing at their home. Later that night, my mom put me in the shower and helped me scrub with the sterile sponge. She had bought me really nice robes, gowns, and slippers for my hospital stay. I put one on that night and layed with the family watching TV. As it looked like I was watching TV, I definitely was not. My mind was going a million miles per minute, I didn't know what to expect. I had never been put under before in my life,  I had never been cut open for anything! I was extremely scared, but if you know me, you know I never show fear. I have to say I'm one tough cookie. I don't know how I even fell asleep that night, But I do know the next morning, July 5, 2012 came very quick. I can replay this day like it was recorded on a video......
